I.V. CONSCIOUS SEDATION
For our patients that want to be less aware while we provide treatment, we offer some sedation options. I.V. Sedation, the most profound, is the most popular and lets our patients relax the most during a treatment procedure. Dr. Nagy completed the very vigorous training and has been providing sedation since 1995.
Although used mostly for extractions, sedation can be used for routine, restorative and preventive treatment as well. Conscious sedation is very safe and Dr. Nagy has the ability to directly reverse the medication that makes patients sedated if needed.
- High dental anxiety and fear
- Sever gag reflex
- Chronic or acute jaw soreness
- Physical limitations such as back and neck problems
- Systematic conditions including MS, Alzheimer's and Parkinson's
The level of sedation is monitored closely and can be adjusted during the procedure to ensure that you are comfortable throughout your visit. If you have questions about I.V. conscious sedation or would like to learn more about this option, please ask Dr. Nagy during your next visit or call the office at 440-322-3838.
